Lead a team of amazing makers and artists to design and create a costume for Anna. She told me about her favorite Disney film and cartoon series that we shared in common: Tangled. After speaking with her and learning about her interests and what her physical comfort level was, I developed some interactive elements and surprises for her wheelchair costume. I wanted all of the elements to be easy for the family to deal with and useful for displaying even while not in use as a costume. The tower was a lovingly crafted exact scale recreation from the movie and designed to be able to have a display base when not attached to the wheelchair. The interactive touch sensitive chameleon was her absolute favorite. We also included a magical playset with lights, sounds, music and a glowing magic flower that was created by heavily modifying an existing toy. We also created a set of foam frying pans for her brothers (frying pans, who knew?).
